A Rock is basically a naturally occurring thing that is usually an aggregate of minerals or Mineraloids. The outer solid layer of the Earth is made up of rocks.

Rocks have three types based on their mineral and chemical composition, their texture etc. These three types are:
    - Igneous
    - Sedimentary
    - Metamorphic.

The Igneous rocks are formed by cooled Molten Magma. Whereas the Sedimentary rocks are formed when clastic sediments and other organic matter precipitates and particulate matter is compacted.l

Whereas on the other hand, Metamorphic rocks are formed when any rock type is exposed to different temperatures and pressure ranges.

      >Sedimentary Rocks--Conglomerate,Shale etc.
