The first answer was the right answer -- a game is 9 innings, and you need to have more than half the game played to be considered "official." If the home team is up, they would not make them play the final half of the fifth inning (just like they don't play the bottom half of the ninth inning if the home team is already winning, what's the point other than pointless injury opportunities and running up the score), so the answer is 4.5 or 5, depending on who is ahead at the middle of the fourth.

The answer is 5 1/2 it the home team ia ahead or 6 complete innings if the home team is behind. Otherwise it is a suspended game and has to be resumed at the point where the game was stopped.
