How Many People Can Play Chouette?

Chouette is a version of the backgammon game that is aimed at multiple players. The biggest Chouette game usually has up to 6 people playing. The minimum must be three as there needs to a box, a captain, and at least one member to play on the captain's team. If there were only two players, the game would be regular backgammon.

The fastest version of Chouette has fewer players, as the more players there are the more decisions are to be made and so the longer it takes to get to your turn. However, many variations can be played to ensure that you can get the most interactive game possible.

There is a version of Chouette that can incorporate up to 14 players at a time. This version has two games being played simultaneously, with all players being involved in both games. This game is very strategic as players need to be aware of both games at all times, and so is not a very commonly chosen option.
