The music man is a book by Meredith Willson. It is about Con man Harold Hill. He acts as a boy's band leader and starts selling band instruments and uniforms. His customers are mostly naive town people. Then he runs away with the cash from the town. A librarian Marian gets to know his act but Hill helps her brother and the two fall in love with each other.
