I Like My Best Friend, I Mean I Really Like Him, What Do I Do?

OK so i started talking to like about 4 or 5 months ago, and in no time we were best friends. We have been best friends since then and really like hanging out together. Just recently i realized that i like him as more than a friend..and i respected our relationship enough to tell him that..and it was weird for a while but things got back to normal...but then he started acting different..and one night he asked me out..then later broke up with me. He says it was random emotion...but i don't believe him...

I think even he is struggling to name this relationship. You seem to be a straight forward person, that is why you did not hesitate to admit the change that you felt in your feelings. But may be he is not that open and straight forward as you are. So the only suggestion that I have for you is to give him a little more time to realize the kind of feeling he has in his heart for you. If they are more than just friendship, he will let you know, because he is your best friend, and best friends share almost everything with each other. Keep your fingers crossed, but in the meanwhile, treat him in your old normal and friendly way.

It sounds to me like he does not want to ruin the friendship but he likes you more than a friend as well. You need to try to ease his mind about it. I am sure he has found out that most friendships are lost when things move to the next level. If you have a strong friendship, the likelihood that it will dissolve if the relationship thing does not work is minimal.
