Are The Green Party Getting Popular In The UK?

The Green Party has enjoyed a modest success in the UK in recent years, and now has two members in the European Parliament, two members in the London Assembly, and one member in the House of Lords.

However, it is not just the Green Party that is getting popular in the UK, but various brands of Green politics. There is increasing concern over environmental issues, with increasing worry among members of the general public over such matters as global warming, climate change, nuclear power and pollution.

For example, The Alliance for Green Socialism is starting to achieve a greater share of the votes in local and national elections, though it has yet to win serious electoral victories.

Green politics in the UK has not achieved anything like the kind of success that has been achieved in countries such as Germany, which now have very good recycling policies. However it can be said that green politics is coming increasingly more to the forefront of British political life.
