The word Team Magma refers to the world of Pokemon where they are a group of thieves and peacemakers also in the Hoenn region. The group has expertise in the geological science and Plate tectonics.
Though the head of the Team Magma is Maxie, the title The Commander is attributed to its second in command called Tabita. There are other members also in the team and notable among them is Brody. He owns a ditto and his prominent quality is that he is able to dress like anyone if he wishes.
The group has a proper dress code and all of them wear dark-red uniforms and the letter 'M' is written on their shirts. The letter symbolises either a mountain or a Volcano.
The team makes appearances only in 'Pokemon Advanced' and are perceived as big brothers rather than being a rival.
