Usually learning music means you have to learn the scales, and learn how to read written music. That is a traditional way to learn piano, voice, guitar, etc.

Music is beautiful or not so beautiful, but it is also scientific. Studies have shown that babies' brains and minds are stimulated by playing classical music in the room with them. Young children can concentrate better on play, or on school assignments, due to the "Mozart effect."

Music also is used to help people sleep better at night. Some music scientifically stimulates the brain waves in a person's mind that make her ready to go into a deep sleep where dreams occur.

"Scientific music" therapy helps people to recover from stress, trauma, and other problems. Pythagoras used music in ancient Greece for helping people to heal who had different medical problems. All cultures use music for soothing and to create different moods and harmony. Music aids in the biological health of the human being.
