Is An Allergy To Celery Viable In My Case? Is It Common?

I am a young woman with seasonal allergies. I recently ate an enormous amount of raw celery. Every time I took another bite of celery, it tasted spicier, like something was burning. My mouth and tongue gradually felt more swollen, but mildly. Is this a normal thing or an allergy?

Oddly enough, celery has it's own little bite to it. I love that taste. Kind of numbs the mouth a little, but it isn't going to hurt you, no allergies. Hope this helps, good luck.

Do you realize that if you ate only celery, you would die? It takes more calories to chew it than is in it. I knew someone that had an aversion to it and could smell it on you if you had handled it earlier in the day. Bizarre!
