What Does Atm Stand For On A Watch?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Atm is the unit for atmosphere, a measurement of pressure. It refers to the pressure at Paris, France, sea-level. This means that you can take your watch up to a depth of 30 meters/96 feet under water (both equal approx. 3 atm) and the watch should not be damaged.

(Note: It says resistant, meaning being able to withstand and not waterproof)
