There has been a barbarous murder in the peaceful town of Bakersville which is also home to Officer Rainie. However with the method of the murder she realizes that it has something to do with her past. But there is a little boy who has accepted to commit the murder but Rainie knows the truth. However In order to get to the bottom she is also risking revealing the secret that she has kept all her life.

However in order to protect the little boy Rainie is ready to go to all extents including putting her own life at risk. The title the other victim is given to this book as only in the end does one realize who the real victim has been. To know who the other victim is read the book which is available in all libraries.
