    In South Carolina who is responsible for building passing fire codes and inspection, Tenant or Landlords?

    I would think that both are responsible. The fire inspector is going to look to see if anything flammable is near a source that could be dangerous. As for passing fire codes the landlord should have had his ducks in a row in order to even rent the place; however, not all landlords follow the law. Peace.
