Madonna, born Madonna Louise Ciccone on August 16th 1958, is a music legend recognised all around the world.  As a young twenty-two year old, Madona signed her very first contract with Sire Records in the United States.

Initially only earning $5000 per song, Madonna, now twenty-six years later, has gone on to earn millions and even made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as "the single most successful female recording artist of all time."  

Madonna's 1984 album, "Like a Virgin", put her on the charts as her first number one album in the USA.  Her title track "Like a Virgin" also became her very first number one hit  reaching number one all around the world.  Now, just two years away from turning 50, Madonna continues to work hard and gain further success.  Along with singer/songwriter, Madonna is also credited as a dancer, author, actress, film and record producer.
