Can I Get Joint Physical Custody For A 2 Years Old Child?
I married and have a 2 years old child in New York. The mother and me could not settle our differences so I moved to the state of Virginia, which is 4hours away. Will a court allow me to have joint physical custody of the child where she spends a large significant amount of time with me. Example. 3 times a year for periods of a month long plus visitation every other week?

Yes, you just have to get a lawyer and petition the court for joint custody and work out the arrangements from there. Good luck.

I don't know how Family Law works back there, but out here in Nevada and Utah, yes you can do that.
My step-father had joint custody of his son where he got him during the Summer and every other Christmas.
The best thing to do would be to consult with an attorney or if you can't afford one maybe Legal Aide in your area can assist you.
