Geez dude... I'm getting worried... I really hope this is all to prove a point, but frankly, if you haven't gotten your answer by now, I think maybe you need to consider that you may be wrong!

90++ percent of the time a snake will swallow it's prey head first... so that all body parts fold down against the body and everything goes down smoothly...

As for the macabre play by play (I'm assuming we're talking constrictor, 'cause no viper could begin to swallow you... And that this snake is some kind of monster mutant that hunts humans)... It would begin by coiling around your ankles, continuing to move up your body.. You'd fall down struggling, but very soon it would be around your chest, constricting in with every breath you take until you could no longer pull air into your lungs.. With in a matter of minutes, you'd be dead. It would hold on to your for about 10 mins. Longer just to make sure... Then it would begin to uncoil and position itself above your head... It would then proceed to swallow you whole.. Head.. Shoulders... Ribs.. Hips.. Legs.. Feet... I won't go into the detail of the process.. But it has to do with unhinging the jaw and working the prey down very efficiently.  You would then be a big lump in it's belly for a week or two until you were fully digested and your bones where excreted... Et fini!      I'm sure with your inordinate interest, that you've watched snakes eat rats.. Mice... Whatever.. The process would be exactly the same... Just on a larger scale.. Our physical structure is not that different than and other of it's natural prey would be when stretch out.  --- But seriously.. If there's no "someone", than you need to talk to someone.

Well, at first, I was beginning to think that you had a fear of snakes. I was going to tell you go to the doctor. Haha. Really though, the attack would be naturally terrifying.
Snakes don't generally take bites out of their food, they swallow food in it's entirety. What part would disappear? They don't usually pick an end to eat first, some do however if the animal they are eating are known to the snake to be a rival.
Where it would stop would depend on the size of the snake. My guess though is that this "giant snake" is supposed to be big enough to eat you, so in that case he could be large enough to devour all of you. Hope this helps, good luck. Now I'm going to have nightmares, thanks a lot! Ha ha

I guess it would depend on the type of snake it was.  If it was poisonous it would bite you and you would die a painful death from the poison.  If it was a python it would squeeze you to death then eat you at his/her leisure.
