    My 13-Year Old Daughter Has A Chronic Dandruff Problem We've Tried Every Thing Out There. Do You Have Any Home Remedies We Have Not Tried?

    Her dandruff has gotten so bad that she has sores and the doctors have tried all of the known remedies on the market and different combinations,nothing works and she has very low self esteem, and it breaks my heart to see her sad and not wanting to go out anywhere with her friends. Please help, we even tried a vinegar solution that an old woman suggested, it was only a stinky temporary fix, please help us

    Ouch, with the vinegar! I answered a question about this a long time ago, buy the usual over the counter Head and Shoulders for severe dandruff, but instead of just using it and washing it off right away, let it set on the scalp for "SEVERAL MINUTES".
    The person that I told this to never did tell me if it worked or not, but you shouldn't abandon all hope here. I read my kids bottle for the instructions to get this answer back then. Hope this helps, good luck. I pray that it does work. Let me know?

      Are you sure it is dandruff? I would try another doctor, a dermatologist. I did happen to come across one post that mentioned baking soda as a great at home remedy for dandruff, have you tried that? You can see it here;

      Try using teatree oil it will help with the flaking and it will help heal the sores. If that doesn't work you can try using emu oil. It works really good for dry skin it might help with your daughter's dandruff as well. You also might try getting vitamin E , A, and D pill's and start her on those. Hopefully, these will help
