How Does One Figure Out The Impairment Ratings For Workers Compensation?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Workers' Compensation is a popular term all over the world. It is a compensation paid to the workers in case they get injured during working hours. It is made mandatory by law. Impairment refers to a permanent instability to work in spite of treatment. A physician plays an important role when it comes to impairment ratings. The ratings reflect the severity of the medical condition of the person involved and his ability to perform his day to day activities not including work. These ratings do not reflect disability but reflect the person's capacity to perform on a daily basis such as walking, bathing, speaking and more. After the physician rates the person, workers' compensation is calculated. The ratings are an estimate given by the physicians.
