What Were The Worst Consequences Of The Vietnam War?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Tragedy's aside, the worst thing to happen was while kids were dying over there, those still in america spawned the hippie era. And  those lucky enough to survive and come home, came home to horrible treatment...by americans! They were spit on, refused jobs, all in all basically abandoned. Alot of the homeless you see today are vets. They came back to horrible circumstances and cast out of society. All they did was fight for uncle sam, against their will, and for that they were thrown out like garbage. Despite anyone's view on that war, the vietnam vets deserve the respect and admiration that is being shown to the military fighting terrorist everyday in the middle east.
