The Green Mile is a novel that appeared in a serialized form with six volumes. Later all the six volumes are being published in a single volume. The publisher of this novel is Scribner and its single volume appeared in the year 2000.

The story of the novel revolves around the character John Coffey who is charged with rape and killing too of two small girls. Coffey was notable as his size was quite big and also his behaviour is quite strange in comparison to others. He weeps when he is alone and also quite fearful about dark. The case of Coffey looks unbelievable because he can not even tie a knot but he lured two small girls.
