Does Cod Liver Oil Cause Diarreha In A Dog?

    Yes, it does just as it would in humans but it will clean them out as well.

    ok, thank you for answering. I thought that it would. The man at Petco said to put a little on my dog's food to help his hair dander and distress. I dont want my dog to have the the poops, he isnt potty trained yet, its hard enough trying train him. Thanks for answering my question.

    I would add a raw egg to his food. No, it won't cause diarreha and it does help with the skin and hair for dogs. If it does not work in a couple weeks, then it may be time to check with the vet.

    Small amounts of things like cod liver oil may not effect your dog though. I thought maybe the dog got into it and had quite a bit. This may be a solution as well but I have never heard of it.

      Well I also give my  pup a 10ml of codliver oil over his food every day (only once a day) because of his dry skin. He never, once got daireha. And his skin was perfect. Remember dogs for some reason LOVE Fish
