I've never had unprotected sex but do have a very strong smell from my vagina and I don't know what I can use to get rid of it.

Vaginal smell can be due to trichomonal infection which is a protozoan. Protected sex can not stop its transmission because the discharge on the testes of the partner can transfer this on your thigh and perianal region from where these can travel to vagina and develop infection when the pH of vagina is changed from acidic to alkaline. So, take metronidazole tablets for five days or visit to doctor.
