The Dead Sea is in the Middle East. It exists as a stretch of a Hyper Saline lake between Israel and West Bank to the West, with Jordan to the East. Due to it's saline nature which makes it the most salty natural lake it is hostile to plant and animal life and hence the name. It is 67 Km long and 18 Km wide at it's widest point. It is in the Jordan Rift Valley and remains a tributary of the River Jordan.
