In Texas, is it okay at the age 17 to date someone 10 years older than me..? When does it become legal..?

I would wait til you are 18. If your parents know of his age and are ok of it then you are probably ok. It would be your parents that would probably go about pressing charges against him if something happened like for statutory rape. Unless you are anticipated. Then if you are you are ok, probably.

It's not really legal to date 10 years older in any state. Not to be gross but don't sleep together, then he/she will go to jail for some form of rape, now when you are 18, a legal adult, then you can date anyone you want, with in reason I mean.

You are considered as a minor until you turn 18 years old and it is illegal.
Your parents could press charges on your older friend if you are engaging in sexual activity and they find out.
