    Garfield County is a county situated in the state of Oklahoma, United States of America. According to a 2000 census, the population of Garfield County, at the time, was 57,813. A total of 23,175 households were recorded with 15,805 family units living in Garfield County. The average household size, according to the recorded demographics, is 2.42 and the average family size is slightly higher at 2.95. The recorded racial make-up of Garfield county concluded that 88.65% of its residents are White, 3.26% are African American, 2.11% are Native American, 0.85% are Asian and 2.02% of Garfield County's residents were part of other races. With oil being the number two source for the counties profits, Garfield county is best known for its' wheat production. The two key employers for the area are the Vance Air force base and Northrop Worldwide Air Services.
