What Is A 31/2" Floppy Disk?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A 3.5" floppy disk is a thin plastic disk with 720KB to 1.44MB of thin tape inside it that is inserted into the Floppy Drive (the A: Drive) of an old computer. It was used to store data like a flash drive is used today. It also was used to install programs, assist in booting CD,s or operating systems. The Floppy is considered "Legacy Technology". CD's, DVD's and flash drives have replaced the Floppy Drive.
