How Did Natasha Richardson Die?

1st answer sort of correct. Instructor said she "tumbled" when she fell. Didn't even really see a head bump. Dr.s thinking maybe a snap in blood vessel from the neck position from the fall. They don't really know. She didn't feel hurt at the time of the accident, which is why she said she didn't need ambulance. Most anyone like me (medium skier) would have done the same thing. But once the headache started, the instructor who was still with her, said "Ok, the hospital", and so she went. But the little town hospital was too small to deal with the trauma. Took too long to get to Montreal without a medicopter. The bleeding was in between her brain and skull, and the brain was injured from the pressure. The doctors at the Trauma Unit in Montreal couldn't turn back the damage already there using the usual methods. They knew she was brain dead there in Canada. Family chose to keep her on Life Support while flying her to NYC so family could be there to say their good-byes.

Breaks my heart.
