The door only has vertical tracks, a single torsion spring above the door and the door sticks out when open ( a canopy door). Regards, Tony

Garage door normally has a pressure sensitive device. If the
door hits a thing or ground while closing it will stop and rise back up. Garage door has 2 buttons that it trips: One when it opens and other one when it closes. These can be adjusted forwards or backwards in order manage how far the door opens and closes. Your garage door might have a problem with these switches that is: Your garage door closes is too far ahead letting it to hit the  ground before it trips the switch.

    Thank you for your help.
The door is physically hitting the ground rather than being reversed by the safety switches.
