My 5-year Old Shi Tzu Is Pregnant. Her Rabies Shot Is Due. Is It Okay To Give It To Her Although She's Pregnant?

I usually give her the rabies shot at home. I've taken her to the vet but forgot to ask the question.

In general vaccines are avoided in pregnant animals.  Before breeding in the future update any
vaccines that are coming due in the next couple of months.  Maternal antibodies are passed to the puppies
through the colostrums and milk; this is why it is important to have a healthy,
vaccinated female dog. Do NOT give a modified live vaccine to a pregnant
animal, killed vaccine are used in shelter medicine or in animals that are at
    risk.  Vaccine reactions, while fairly
uncommon, are always possible and can affect pregnancy.

Also at least in the United States rabies vaccines are
only licensed and sold to veterinarians.
Distemper-parvo vaccines and some others are often sold through feed
stores.  I would not trust where you are
getting the rabies vaccine from since it is illegal and must be given by a
    veterinarian.  Rabies certificates and
tags must be signed by a licensed veterinarian on the date given.

    Good luck with the puppies!

No you need to wait until she has the puppies but keep an eye on her while she is putside to make sure she doe not come on contact with wild animals.
