Palm Sunday is what we call the day of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Jesus rode into the city of Jerusalem on a young donkey while the crowd of people (it was Passover week and Jerusalem had many visitors) waved palm branches, lay palm branches and coats on the road before Christ, and shouted Hosanna! Blessed be the Name of the Lord! That was one week before Resurrection Sunday. Palm Sunday was the beginning of Passion Week- the week of Passover, Christ's death and then Resurrection.
