Why We Sweat?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Sweat is the body's way of cooling itself down - we coat our skin with a very thin layer of liquid which cools more rapidly than our skin, and because the liquid is right against our skin, it cools us down (however slightly).

To remove the heat produced when moving, walking, or just when too warm. The human body need to stay at around 37 degrees, so sweating helps to maintain this internal temperature. Water cools and then removes the heat from the skin.
