Has Golobal Approach To Combat Growing Nuclear Proliferation Proved Fruitful?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In the wake of these intimidation it is self-evident that the universal approach to combat growing nuclear proliferation has failed to attain the preferred objectives of the United Nations with IAEA joined with the pressurizing techniques of the United States and nuclear-export ban from the other developed nations vis a vis India and Pakistan in South Asia, Brazil and Argentina in South America, Israel, Iraq, Iran and Algeria in Middle East and North Korea in the Korean peninsula.

This failure of the global command highlights the intrinsic weaknesses present in the IAEA. In addition it is worth mentioning that approach of the monitoring agency and the so called nuclear club had failed to recognize regional problem of these countries, which defend the old maxim that "A man convinced against his will is a man of same opinion still".

However all these countries recognize the intrinsic danger of the nuclear weaponry but their own security concerns has slowly pushed them towards nuclear proliferation specially the Iraq and North Korean cases make obvious that the non proliferation reflects single standard is improbable and in convinced cases counter productive. It means that NPT regime cannot stop nuclear proliferation among the states having security threat in any case three pro-nuclear states India, Pakistan and Israel-remains outside NPT.
