    The Hague officially known as Den Haag is a city located in Netherlands. After Amsterdam and Rotterdam it is the third largest city in all of Netherlands. It has a total population of 472,087 according to the census conducted in the year 2005. The total area of Den Haag is hundred square kilometres. It is placed towards the western region in the territory of south Holland.

    Den Haag is the actual political area of the government but has not been given the status of country capital, which was assigned to Amsterdam. Queen Beatrix resides and operates form Den Haag. Most of the overseas embassies and legislative ministries lie in Den Haag.

    Den Haag was established in the year 1248 by William II who was the Count of Holland and the King of Germany and was assumed to become the Holy Roman Emperor.
