Why did Almighty God cause so many plagues to damage Egypt’s land, animals and people after the blood in the Nile, millions of frogs and probably billions of insects?
God loves everybody. It was nothing personal against the Egyptians, but he couldn't watch his people suffer. He did those horrible things to show Pharaoh how powerful he is.
Thank you for your answer. This is one of the hundreds of ques&ans that I wrote for Blurtit before they set up this site; and they have never paid me for any of those that I spent hours writing and researching. I'm still angry. (but I love this site because I can hear from people all over the world and learn what people in my country think, or know. Thanks again.
Because of the Pharaoh's stubbornness, greed and deceitfulness, to keep the Hebrew slaves by lying to God and then changing his mind regarding the release of God's people, he actually was the cause of all of the plagues. All that he was required by God to do, was free the slaves and let them return to their homeland as promised forever to the descendants.
The Hebrew slaves were descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. They had gone to Egypt during a famine when Joseph was an official in Pharaoh's government. When a new Pharaoh became fearful that the Israelites/Hebrews/Jews would organize and wage war against the Egyptians, he declared that they slaves. The assigned taskmasters were cruel and even killed the Hebrews.
Moses who had been raised in the house of Pharaoh because the Princess rescued the Jewish baby from floating in a basket on the Nile, killed one of the taskmasters. The next day officials of the government learned about it and sent to arrest Moses who fled to a place outside of Egypt.
Later God called on Moses to return to Egypt and serve until all slaves were freed and returned to the lands of Abraham.
