    What Is The Algebraic Equation For A Rectangle That Has A Perimeter Of 78 And The Length Is 3 Inches Longer Than The Width?

    The algebric expression will become:
    2[x + (x+3)] = 78
    And you get the answers after the solution.

      Try it like this: Let x be the shorter side, so the longer side will be x+3......you have two short sides and two long sides...so you have x+x+x+3+x+3=78...That looks a little simpler to me, but the teacher will probably prefer Aisha's way.
