I want to know the basic differences and the elements of contract and proposal.

A proposal is what is being proposed for a project including such information as how the work is to be done, when it will be performed, the money being charged for the service, who will perform the service and other information needed by the party seeking the work. The proposal is the document that explains and details the project and how it will be accomplished and to help ensure it's acceptance which would be finalized with a contract. The contract is your agreement for the service or work that will be performed, the manner of performance, time frame of project and other specific details to entitle the winning proposal of the money being paid for the services performed and is signed by both parties. A proposal is usually signed by the party performing the service and is given to the requester of the service in order for them to make a decision based on the details of the proposal.

A proposal is an offer made by one person to another. Proposal are made in every field of life most often seen in marriages and business deals. On the other hand contract is a kind of agreement between two parties on a certain issue and must be abided by. Breaking of a contract is an offense and can be challenged legally.
