How hotter would the earth become if the sun moved closer by 3 centimeters?

3 cms? Have you typed correctly. I don't think there will be much difference in the temperature of the earth. Because , Earth usually goes around the sun and it goes closer to the sun by more than 3 cms. It is a negligible length as compared with the size of earth and sun and the distance between these two.
