NO never give an animal human medicine unless told to do so by a licensed vet!!! If it is just a scratch then let it heal on its own just try to keep it clean. You could just call the local vet and ask to speak with him about it.

Never give an animal human medicine unless directed by a vet to do so. I suggest that you call and find out what you can do for the pup. Hope this helps, good luck to you and the pup.

I would not recommend any meds that people take, although the meds the vets give you are basically the same as we get! But if you love your pup as I'm sure you do...be safe,  and DON'T go the Advil way!  The vet you use will help... And like the other guy said baby meds are a way to go if you must!  I have 10 dogs, I rarely use vets or meds of any kind... Have some dogs reaching 17 years old...and they are big guys too!  Still healthy!  When a dog is happy...it will live a long life! Good Luck!
