the atom is a basic unit of matter which consist of a dense, central nucleus surrounded by a cloud of negatively charged electrons.however, three main parts of an atom are:
    Protons,neutrons and electrons.
The protons are and neutrons are found together in the core of the atom, called the nucleus, which is the center of the atom.the electrons are found moving around the nucleus at a different energy levels in what is called the electron cloud.
    Protons
    have positively charge(+1) particle
    neutrons have zero charge(0) particle
    electron have negatively charge(-1) particle

Positively charged protons are in the nucleus with neutral neutrons.  Negatively charged electrons are outside the nucleus.
