My schnauzer is not quite a year old and I was wondering the same thing. He does it particularly when you rub his ears, but sometimes he just does it while you are petting him. Especially when he gets excited. I am curious to know if that's normal or not too. Apparently it isn't too strange if mine isn't the only one doing it. He doesn't have an infection in his ears or anything, so it must just be a personality trait.
