I went on an interview and got the job during the interview. Should I write the interviewer of the company a thank you note for the opportunity they have given me?

YES! Absolutely! It shows them that you really appreciate the opportunity they gave you. I always send thank you notes for the interview.. I usually have it prepared before I get to the interview and mail it after the interview.. They then get it the next day (usually.. Depending on the speed of the mail delivery) About a year after I started me last job, we were all sitting in my boss' office and I asked her why she chose me for the job.. She said well, you have the skills I was looking for, and the thank you note was what made me stand out of all the other applicants.
