    Gil Vincent was the writer of the famous play of the early 1500s, 'The pilgrimage of the Aggrieved'. It was first introduced in the year of 1533. The play was widely accepted by its viewers of that time. The play was very much appreciated by the literature maestros of that time.

    Gil Vincent was the famous Portuguese playwright. He was born in the year of 1465 in Portugal. His début was made in the year of 1502. He was a court dramatist and a poet laureate. To celebrate the great events and religious occasions his plays were performed. Gil Vincent was known as the father figure of Portuguese drama. He used to write in both Spanish as well as Portuguese.

    Gil Vincent had written about a number of 44 existing dramas. His creations mirrored the change and cataclysm of his era. His creations could be divided in religious plays, court plays, pastoral plays, popular mockeries as well as romantic comedy. 'Exhortation to war' was produced in the year of 1513and 'The forge of love' was produced in the year of 1524 were the best among his creations. The great Portuguese playwright was died in the year of 1536 in Portugal.
