A citation is basically a reference to any published item and which has enough details for easy identification. There are many formats one can choose from such as MLA and APA. The main aim of citation is to credit information. To cite a chapter in a book one must bear in mind certain details. One must include the author's last name, then the author's initials. This should be followed by the Chapter Title, then the Book Title along with the Edition Number. The Editor's last name and his Initials should also be written down. The Publisher's name and the city it was published in should follow next, then the year, the volume number and Pagination should be printed. For example, Almlof, J.; Gropen, O. Relativistic Effects in Chemistry. In Reviews in Computational Chemistry Lipkowitz, K.B., Boyd, D.B., Eds.; VCH: New York, 1996; Vol. 8, pp 206-210.
