A stye occurs more frequently in children as compared to adults. It is a recurring ailment because children have the habit of constantly touching and irritating it. Tell your children that if they keep touching it, the stye will take a long time to go away. Nonetheless ensure that their hands are clean and dry, if dirt gets into the stye then it exacerbates the situation.
Make a clean compress by wetting a cloth in warm water. Now squeeze out the water from the cloth. Now apply this to the infected eye for fifteen minutes. This has a soothing effect and it alleviates the pain. If you are in a hurry and confident of your skills then you could try removing the eye-lash on which the stye has occurred. If done correctly then the stye will disappear soon. If you leave the stye alone then it will ripen, mature and eventually dry out. If is not advised to use any eye-makeup if there is a stye, but if makeup cannot be avoided then take care to use a good make-up remover while getting the make-up off.

Um I have had a stye 4 about 3 days and I have missed 2 days of school and I really want to go back to school but I don't at the same time some of my family members are telling me to use witch hazel but you cant use that type of stuff on your eye I was using cold cloths at first and now I'm using warm cloth but when I was using the cold one it seemed like it was working but when I use the warm one it seems like its getting worser!!!Please Please Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best why for me is lavender oil put it over were the eye lid is were the sty is (NOT INTO THE EYE) as this will burn your eye B4 applying anything to (YOUR EYE) make sure you have cooking oil WITH TOP OF and a bit of a toilet roll ( IF LAVENDER OIL GOES IN YOUR EYE TURN OIL UP SIDE DOWN ON TOILET ROLL AND APPLY OVER THE EYE FAST!!!)...
