    It is also type of subjective poetry it is the form of the lyric and of all its form is most care free order and bound by different rigid rules the word sonnet is derived from the greek word sonneto means a sound it's a short lyric of 14 lines and the italian poet, petrarch was the first to use this forum of the lyric to express his love for his beloved and laura and its use become a mark of petrarchan love poetry all over Europe in the sixteenth century, petrarch had divided his sonnets into two parts (1)the octave of 8 lines(2)sested of 6 lines with a pass after the 8th line,normally in actave some question is asked and in the second stanza sested answer is given.After petrarch,William shakespear and Milton wrote marvellows sonnets called shakspearian sonnets and milltonic sonnets,petrarch sonnet is seemed as ABBAABBA,this is called octave,CDE and CDE this is called sested according to petrarchan sonnets,and shakspearian sonnet is ABAB,CDCD this is called octave and EFEF,GG this is called sested.octave and sested are the basic units of sonnets.
