Do Really Young Children Need Exercise Such As Nursery Aged Children?

Strangely enough it is thought that children who attend nursery do need at least one hours exercise per day in order to stop them from becoming obese later on in life. There are going to be new measures coming into play from the year 2007, which are aimed at preventing obese children. These include weighing children when they reach primary school age, and measuring them again when they are ready to leave. Some people think this is a little drastic but the government really are worried about the obesity levels of our children in this day and age.

Another method going to be used is a letter sent home to parents who do have overweight children, informing them that their child risks future health problems. Generally this method is unlikely to work as many parents know the dangers already and they simply dismiss them. Overall young children tend to get enough exercise anyway, but it is said that one hour a day is about right for their age group.
