If you still want to do teaching related work, there are some options that should be easier.
One is coaching or individual tuition. If you have a specialist subject which is in fairly high demand, it's often possible to make quite a good income giving one-to-one tuition, exam coaching etc. You do often need to go to the students' homes, though, so it depends whether you have transport. Most areas have agencies that could help you, or you can advertise in the local paper.
On-line teaching is becoming popular too. You could check out website connected to your subject, to see if distance learning or on-line tutors are needed.
Also, your local adult education service may be able to help. Even if your health won't allow you to work as a course tutor, they sometimes have potential distance learning students.
There is also work available such as exam marking, depending on your experience.
