How Is Science Used In Aviation?
Please can you tell me the many ways science is used in aviation?

Physics. The pressures of velocity. The effects of resistance. Meteorology in the studies of the wind currents and weather patterns. Gravity. Laws of motion. Physics in the form of combustion and the equations between mass and torque for propulsion. A plane has to lift, be airborne, be directed, and it has to come down in a steady controlled way. In these processes, the sciences used are the ones I have stated. Someone who is well versed may come up with actual formulas.

When flight was first attempted the design for the airplane was said to be sculpted (designed)after the wings of birds by studying how they we're able to glide or use air currents(weather/environment)) to sustain their time in the air. Then it was discovered that speed(physics) and lift(physics) the actual shape(design/geometry) of the wing had a lot to do with the ability to fly.then through testing the theory finding that the air acted just like(wind tunnel testing today) water and had warm and cold currents which aid in the ability to gain lift. The first flaps and rudder we're designed through further study of birds finding that they used their tales and tips of their wings to change direction.this is where Wilbur and Orville wright took off from and designed the first sustainable /controllable airplane to over come the weight of the aircraft and the weight of the passengers using math and science and design by trial and error.

Science is reason. The scientific development of what materials are used to build the aircraft. It is used in the way the aircraft is flown and landed.Science was useful in the development and the use of guages such as altitude, compass, to the fuel guage. Also the scientific development of radar. Not only is it used for tracking air craft it is also used for determining the weather.Science is also used in the allowance of how much weight the aircraft can carry. It is also used in the ways and affects that air travel has on people and animals and what precautions to take . Breaking it down scientifically, there's a lot.LOL
