Why Do Athletes Always Talk About GOD If They Don't Believe In Him?

Atheists (not athletes) are terrified that the world is being taken over by religious fanatics and reason, education and progress are in danger of being destroyed by ignorance and superstition. It's not god that atheists talk about, it's how to protect ourselves from  this. And believe me, it is no pleasure to have to think about this.

Athletes? Don't you mean athiests? Most athiests are quite happy to leave people to believe in whatever they want and ask only for the same respect and courtesy in return.

If you're talking about them saying "oh my god" let me defend them with a 1st person reasoning, I myself am Agnostic-Atheist.

It's sorta like today's society with santa, we like to say he's coming when we know it's just our parents, we like to use that in jokes with our friends like "santa's not going to visit you this year" that doesn't mean we think he's real, just means we like making references in order to make fun with someone.

They probably do believe in god, just not your god. Either that or they're like politicians and televangelists, telling people what they think they want to hear because it makes them popular or rich.

They are focused on trying to prove the He doesn't exist! What a shame isn't it? I think that they are going to regret their thoughts when they are standing in front of Him too.

Is this speak of him in a bad way or good way

I believe they are curious.
