Most of the wise Europeans migrated to North America and made their colonies there. At that time South America having more resources with better climatic conditions remains unexplored and the natives lived there by engaging in primitive mode of cultivation and not made any earnest step to make trade relationship with other developed European countries and remain poor. In this context we can compare South America with African continent. Those who migrated to North America got benefited the good results of industrial revolution and they made maximum efforts to explore the natural as well as mineral resources and become rich people in the world.

Because way back in the day when people immigrated from poverty,hunger and dictatorships they vowed to start a new life in america and never return to the way things were. They would rather die than live like that again. Those ideals are imprinted into every generation that followed.
