Microwave ovens consist of some important parts which help them to function. These components include a high voltage transformer for passing energy to magnetron, a cavity magnetron, a chamber, a microcontroller, and a waveguide. Microwave ovens uses radio waves to process the food. When the non-ionizing microwave radiations are passed through the food at a frequency of 2.45 then food is heated. The energy which these radiations carry is reflected on the food and the food molecules are able to absorb and trap this energy. Molecules of food get heat energy and strike with one another, which enhances the effectiveness of the process and in this way at a wavelength of 12.24 cm food, is heated.
